This Sunday’s Novice Helm Race is your time to shine!
Open to all sailors with less than two years of experience (who have completed the Start Crewing course or have equivalent experience), this race gives you the opportunity to helm for at least 80% of the race and gain valuable time on the tiller or wheel.
These races are intended to foster participation and development of up and coming sailors within our club, irrespective of gender.
This race is a standalone event focused on learning, skill-building, and friendly competition.
We’re encouraging skippers to share their experience as well as their helm time to help mentor and support the next generation of WYC sailors.
