Yachties kiosk will be open for takeaway breakfast and coffee from 8am. Pumpkin Challenge novelty race
A course will be set and the race briefing posted as usual, Each yacht is issued with a pumpkin before setting off, At some stage during the race, there will be a radio call on channel 77 “Pumpkins, overboard!”, Each boat must then drop their pumpkin astern and initiate man-overboard recovery drill to retrieve their pumpkin before rounding the next mark and continuing the race. Pumpkins will need to be presented at the clubhouse after sailing to qualify for a finish.
